The past weeks have been filled with rich learning experiences as classes re-establish routines and roll into 2026 as a community. We are so excited that the halls are already buzzing with energy returning from the winter break, refreshed and ready for a fantastic start to the year!

Kindergarten Registration
Registering your child for school for the first time is an exciting milestone and we look forward to welcoming our newest Falcons in the 2024-2025 school year! Starting Jan.13, 2025, registration for kindergarten students will open for the 2025-26 school year.
Is My Child Old Enough to Attend School?
For children to be eligible to register and attend kindergarten in September 2025, they must turn five years old on or before Dec. 31, 2025.

Physical Education Update: Grade 5/6 Basketball Club
We are offering a grade 5 and 6 after school basketball club. The club will be held after school on the following days in the gym from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM:
Tuesday, January 20th & Thursday, January 22nd
Tuesday, January 27th & Thursday, January 29th
Tuesday, February 3rd & Thursday, February 5th
Tuesday, February 10th & Thursday, February 12th
Tuesday, February 17th & Thursday, February 19th
Tuesday, February 24th
Thursday, February 26th (Staff vs. Student Game)
Students will be dismissed through the front doors of the school at 4:00 PM on these days - please wait patiently and do not ring the bell at the front door. We will not be able to accommodate or supervise siblings of students that are participating. Please plan for pick up or for your child to walk home from the school.
A form has been sent home for parents to provide permission. After filling it out, families can send it in with their child to give to their classroom teacher.
School Council Update
Falconridge has a strong parent population and would like to expand the number of parents that attend our School Council meetings. Parent Council is an integral part of the school experience as it allows our community to come together and make decisions about school decisions. Whether joining their executive or just attending the meetings as an interested parent, all are welcome.
The next School Council date is Tuesday, January 20 Online OR in the Falconridge School Learning Commons at 6:00 PM.
