Welcome Back Falconridge Families!

We understand the challenges of this past month, and we appreciate the support and patience from our community. November is a particularly busy month, and we want to ensure that we set families up for success. Please read on for important updates.

Friday October 31st: Halloween

As in past years, Falconridge School is inviting students to wear their Halloween costumes or Black and Orange on October 31. This year, students are allowed to wear costumes for the entire day. When wearing costumes, all masks and accessories are asked to be kept at home as opposed to being worn on the day. We are asking that costumes are safe for school (i.e. do not depict gore or violence). We are also asking that students refrain from wearing inflatable costumes.

In the afternoon, there will be a parade of costumes for anyone interested and teachers are crafting lessons to integrate the day into math, science, and more. Please check with your child’s teacher or google classroom for additional details of any planned activities. Due to allergies and food sensitivities, we are asking that children do not bring candy or food to exchange with other students.

Reminder: Changes to Bell Times and Grade 5 Class Size Reduction

As part of our ongoing efforts to support student learning and well-being, we are making adjustments to reduce literacy and mathematics class sizes in Grade 5 by reallocating Ms. Namkoong for a portion of the day. This change will help us better meet the needs of our students and enhance their learning experience.

To support this transition, we have adjusted our lunch schedule. Please see the updated lunch times below:

We appreciate you're understanding and support as we make these changes to better serve our students. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school.

Dress for the Weather

As fall and winter arrive in Calgary, we want to remind students to come to school properly dressed for the weather.
