Dear Falconridge Families and Community,
Welcome to another exciting year at Falconridge School! As I begin my second year as Principal, I continue to feel deeply honoured to serve this vibrant and diverse community. Our school is a place where students are encouraged to be proud of who they are, and where learning is designed to be meaningful, inclusive, and empowering.
At Falconridge, we live our vision: “Proud to be me.” This is more than a motto—it’s a commitment to nurturing learners who are P.R.O.U.D.:
- Personalized in their learning,
- Rooted in Relationships,
- Taking Ownership of their growth,
- United in collaboration, and
- Dedicated to continuous improvement.
Through personalized task design and guided inquiry, our staff works to ignite curiosity and foster courageous leadership in every student. We believe that significant learning stems from significant relationships, and we are committed to building strong connections with students, families, and the wider community.
Our team of educators and support staff is passionate about creating inclusive classrooms where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. We take collective responsibility for student success and continually reflect on our practices to ensure we are meeting the needs of all learners.
We also recognize the importance of family engagement in student achievement. Whether through our newsletters, Instagram updates, or events like Meet the Teacher Night, we strive to keep you informed and involved. I encourage you to stay connected and consider joining our Falconridge Parent Society, which plays a vital role in supporting school initiatives and building community.
As we move forward together this year, I look forward to celebrating our students’ growth, learning, and leadership. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us—we are here to support your child’s journey every step of the way.
Warm regards,
Kurt Gordon
