Falconridge Families,

As you may be aware, the Calgary Board of Education is preparing for a potential Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) strike beginning Monday, October 6. We understand this may cause disruption and uncertainty for families, and we want to ensure you have the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Here is what this means for Falconridge School and all CBE families:

  • All classes will be cancelled. Please do not send your child to school.
  • Transportation services will be suspended. Do not leave your child at a bus stop.
  • All school athletics, field trips, and extracurricular activities will be cancelled.
  • Access to D2L and Google Classroom will remain on for students, staff, and families.
  • After-hours public rentals in schools will continue as scheduled.
  • Fees paid for cancelled activities may be adjusted once the strike concludes.

We deeply value the contributions of all employees who support student success and respect the bargaining process. The Calgary Board of Education remain committed to keeping you informed as the situation evolves. If anything changes before October 6, families will be notified directly. For the most current updates, please visit the CBE Labour Action page

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

This change will help us better meet the needs of our students and enhance their learning experience.

To support this transition, we will be adjusting our lunch schedule effective our first school day on or after Monday, October 6, 2025. Please see the updated lunch times below:
